The 2015 TEDxBeijingSalon kick-off event, which took place at 77 Theatre on June 27th, featured a large array of entertaining and inspiring talks. The TEDxBeijing community was able to hear from a total of six speakers who discussed concepts from cutting edge molecular genetics screenings for preventing cancer to how the trash industry makes China one of the most innovative countries in the world.
Announcements were made for the forthcoming TEDxBeijing award, an annual award for great ideas with a positive impact on life, as well as TEDx Adventures, a fun way to experience the first-hand ideas being developed in this great city. The kick-off event wrapped up with a live performance from an acapella group, JingSing, with renditions of popular songs.
